I work with Earthen plasters over strawbale, cob, lightclay & adobe walls (interior & exterior), Clay finish plasters, Lime finish plasters, Clay paints, Lime fresco & Limewash.  I have a portfolio and dozens of sample boards of various colors and textures to choose from.

-Free initial consulation to find out about your priorities & if Natural Plasters will be appropriate
-Further consulting to determine your desired wall finish, how to build/prep the walls 
-Estimate how much time required and the cost of labor & materials
-Supply or source materials & tools for mixing & plastering
-Work with you, train your crew or bring experienced helpers
-Organize and teach workshops
-Experience working on Aboriginal projects, women's projects & training programs

                                                                                             About My Experience:
My name is Cindy Walker.  I have been involved in Natural Building/Plasters for 8 years.  Which began with building my own cob/strawbale home in 2001.  I took many workshops and studied with Natural Builders in BC and the US to learn how to finish my home.   I participated in and co-ordinated an Alternative Building Training program for BC Native Women's Society in 2003-2005.  I took part in a Natural Building training program at OUR Ecovillage on Vancouver Island, doing finish plasters, paints and earthen floors.  In 2006, I studied with Natural Plaster experts in New Mexico, Arizona and a Faux Finisher in Las Vegas.  In 2007, I participated in some Natural Plastering projects in New Zealand.  I've worked for Habondia Habitat (Women's Lending Society) doing research on Natural Building.  And have now settled near Nelson, BC to establish my Natural Plastering  business.   I  do natural plasters over strawbale walls and also Natural Plasters/Paints over new drywall construction & interior eco-renovations.  I will also be teaching Natural Plasters/Paints in the "Natural Building Skillbuilder" at OUR Ecovillage and the College of the Rockies "Natural Building School this summer.
